On the first Thursday we do a print exchange here in Ventura. Its super laid back, and everyone basically just trades their prints with each other... and if people don't have prints to trade, they will buy you a beer if they're interested in one of your prints(Added bonus). The Lomo Fisheye is the perfect camera for shooting a fun little party or anything like this. The only tip I can give you, is get a little closer than you think you need to, this fisheye is super wide(as it should be) but the viewfinder doesn't give you any idea of how wide it actually is. If you're ever in the Ventura, CA area on the 1st Thursday of the...
Very often on my camera hunts, I come across cameras that still have film inside them. I started saving these rolls, and when I have a little extra cash to throw at them, I'll get them developed to see what might be on them. I love the little snapshot of a moment in time you get to see... I'd say about 80% of the found film rolls I develop have no photos come out, but wen they do, its always interesting. These photos are the results from 3 separate rolls of film that each had a few photos on them... I especially like the photos from inside the thrift store, where the person that picked up the camera probably were...

The first few are from a day trip up to Ojai to have some beers and swim and the Ojai Rancho Inn. The old house is a house I've been stopping to photograph any time I go through Santa Maria, CA. This time I got there, and it had been moved...
Here's another folder to put on your list of cameras to buy! Its the first Mamiya 6! It was originally produced in 1940, and sold well into the 50s, but the quality of this camera still holds up today! One day, my buddy Derek and I decided to go do a little exploring... I knew about the Sepulveda Dam from countless movies and TV commercials. When you're driving on the 101 freeway you can catch a little glimpse of it if you know where to look at the right time, so I had a good idea of where it was. We weren't sure if we were going to have to "break in" or if we'd be trespassing here, but it...
